Umbrella card

Hi
i was not suppose to craft today. I promised myself that I will do household chores, but here I am , trying something new( not very successful though) .
I tried to make a paper doily umbrella and then filled it with some dried moss and hot glued some flowers on it.
Paper was too thin to take the black paint and also to hold so much moss and flowers.I think I should have given some more time to it.
Added some paint and microbead around it to give more dimension.

there is an awesome mood board on blog.tombowusa.
I was inspired by the umbrella , black and yellow colors and flowers.

upcycled ceramic bowl and canvas

Hello crafters.
a very happy day for me as a crafter. I was able to do two projects which according to me and my family came out very pretty.

As a member of deco art blogger outreach program I got crackel medium and a stencil from deco art.

Here is my first project using them.
While making this  i had inspiration image from creativeembellishments in back of my mind. although I  have not used any of the chip board from creativeembellishments , i would still just link it to their blog as a thanks for the image.

  1. Applied a thick layer of gesso on the broken bowl.
  2. once dried applie a layer of crackle medium, and let it dry for 2 to 3 hrs.
  3. then applied very thin layer of paint , so that it enters the cracks, and then wipe of the extra.
  4. filled the bowl with very light mesh and then stuck it to the prepared canvas
  5. then loosely filled it with dried moss
  6. added flowers, vines , butterflies .
Preparing the canvas
  1. Coloured it with brown acrylic paint, then lightly applied black strokes.
  2. added some texture using modelling paste and stencil
  3. dry brushed metallic copper paint.

hike

hello Crafters ,
Happy Tuesday.
here is my entry to scraparoundtheworld  mood board challenge and scrapourstash sketch challenge.

I was inspired by the arrows, blue and yellow color, thread and scale drawing.

for scrap our stash challenge , i have used the sketch and put lots of glitter on the arrows and camera.

Th fun part is that i hve used reusable kitchen tissue for my base. I mod podged it but its so porous that even that didnt help, so there was no chance of spray flowing on the tissue. I just had to spread it with my fingers.

anywaysr i was happy with the result.

Tim Holtz scale stencil
