The Eyes

hello , hope you all had a good weekend.
Well i went for a picnic with my family , played games and did some kayaking too.

Today i am sharing  this layout with my pic of my daughter and her self portrait.
Hope you will like it. I just started it randomly but i am pretty happy with the final result.

Process
I started it with random stenciling, using different materials but same stencil.
Then added acrylic paint using a strip of cardboard. that added more texture to it, than using brush.
Added the cheese cloth as an extension to the smoke already in the picture.
added some pieces of mesh cut out fro old laundry bag.
Also added some pieces of lace to give more texture.
Did some doodling  and also added some white through dots stencil.

Well that was a lot of work, but all is worth if you all like it.

Supplies
TCW stencil
Tim holtz mini dots stencil
Faber castel Pink and golden gelatos
Decoart acrylic paint
Decoart modelling paste

hey
Everyday looks like weekend these days , kids at home, no mad rush, everything going at slow pace, even crafting.
Color combination at colourmecardchallenge. was so tempting that I literally forced myself to make this card. But I am happy with the result after hrs of work .

cupcake card

Hi, hope you all are having time on this weekend.

I would like to share a very easy and quick card for a sixteenth bday.
While browsing I came across this challenge scrapping4funchallenges.

this picture gave me the idea for this card. Plain and simple. and luckily I had paper with so many cupcakes printed on it.So i fuzzy cut and then curved them to give some dimension.

Hope you will like it.

best dad ever frame

I wanted to make a big frame for father's day photo booth. My daughter gave me the idea of making mall frame , keeping it close to the camera , so that everybody fit in the frame when standing at a distance. That saved me lots of time , energy and material.
This is a totally recycled project.

I have used a old cardboard piece, hotglued  some fruit net , applies some paint on it. then hotglued old belt, stamped on cardboard and cut it to make the embellies.

i am eager to see how the pictures turn out tomorrow , when we are organising fathers day brunch.

Journey

hello and happy Monday.
happy day for my kids as they exams are getting over. they have already made plans with their friends with me being a mere driver.
Anyways this gave me time to make this layout for my dear husband . ( celebrating fathers day).
he is quite a traveler. Loves to explore and have insatiable diet  to visit new places specially National parks.
closeups

I started with pasting the pic on corrugated board and painting it to extend the picture.
then stenciled the background  and used various blue, and browns .
Then I used the clock stencil to add another layer on it.
then stamped journey stamps here and there.
stuck the net using hot glue gun . then added tim holtz time traveler ephemera  adding more depth to it.
small piece of burlap gave more texture and layer to the layout and also the masculine look.
I stamped the gears on Kaisekraft papers and fuzzy cut them.
Added crackle paint to the Creative embellishment Compass and applies some decoart Metallic copper paint on it.
Finally stamped some birds and also drew some with sharpie on the picture,
